Emerging from my deep immersion in my local landscape during COVID lockdowns in Naarm/ Melbourne, this work speaks to remnant grasslands in the landscape. The beautiful evolution of the Wurundjeri woi- wurrung care for country over millenia, the intertussock grasslands, the interspersed flowers species, the biodiverse insects and birds. This work reminds us that biodiversity is carbon rich.

Inspired by the deeply threatened volcanic plains communities, often referred to as the VVP ecosystem.
