They draw this atmospheric carbon down to the bottom of the ocean into deep sea slow time carbon when they die. Whales move the nutrients and carbon around the ocean, fertilising algae to draw more carbon into the deep sea.

Coral draw carbon into their bodies as calcium carbonate.
